This body of work explores the quiet dialogue between inner and outer landscapes, the shifting terrain of the self alongside the atmospheric expanses of coastal landscape. Through layers built with gestural marks, color, and collage, each piece becomes both a place and a state of being. Broad fields of blue, green, and sand-toned hues evoke water, sky, and land, while more spontaneous marks suggest movement, weather, and the unseen currents beneath the surface. These works are not literal depictions, but impressions -moments where memory, sensation, and environment converge. A defining element throughout is the presence of white space. A meditative envelope that surrounds and interrupts the forms. This space acts as breath: a pause that invites stillness, reflection, and a fresh way of seeing. Within it, the compositions unfold slowly, revealing depth not just in material, but in meaning. Rooted in an awareness of impermanence and presence, the work is informed by a contemplative sensibility - where joy, attention, and openness allow the work to be both expansive and intimate, grounded yet fluid. These paintings ask not to be read, but to be experienced—to linger in the space between elements, where perception softens and something quieter can emerge.
